Illu­stra­ti­on about flowers by Adol­phe Phil­ip­pe Millot prin­ted in the french diction­a­ry « Diction­n­aire complet illu­stré » by the editor Larous­se in 1889. Adol­phe Phil­ip­pe Millot (1857–1921, Paris) was a French pain­ter, litho­grapher and ento­mo­lo­gist who illu­stra­ted many of the natu­ral histo­ry sections of Petit Larous­se. He was the seni­or illu­stra­tor at the Musé­um natio­nal d’Hi­stoire natu­rel­le as well as a member of the Salon des arti­stes fran­çais (hono­ura­ble menti­on, 1891) and the Socié­té ento­mo­lo­gi­que de France.
